Alexander Denisov, former general director of the Russian JSC "NPO High-Precision Systems," which develops "Pantsir" anti-aircraft defense systems, has died, reported RBC publication.
Alexander Denisov headed the holding from its foundation in 2009 until 2022. The organization's press service noted that with his direct participation, projects such as the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile-gun system, the Verba man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS), and Izdelie 305 guided missiles were implemented.
Alexander Denisov was born on May 16, 1952, in the village of Strachava, Bryansk Oblast. He served in the army, and in the early 2000s, he worked as the first deputy chairman of the Committee for Military-Technical Cooperation with Foreign States. From 2004 to 2007, he was the first deputy director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation. He also worked as an advisor to the CEO of Rostec.
JSC NPO High-Precision Systems is part of the Russian state corporation Rostec and specializes in the development and production of high-precision weapon systems.
