«I Don't Care. Fine Me, I'm Rich». Tourist in Hawaii Throws Rock at Rare Seal — Locals Did Not Forgive
In Hawaii, a 37-year-old tourist threw a large rock at an endangered Hawaiian monk seal, and boasted that he didn't care about the consequences because he was «rich».

The rock almost hit the animal's head.
«We told him [the tourist] that we had called the police, and he replied: 'I don't care. Fine me, I'm rich.' He said that and walked away,» — said the woman who filmed the moment, writes The Independent.
The seal, named Lani, whom the tourist targeted, is a favorite among many locals. She returned to the town of Lahaina after the large-scale wildfires of 2023.
Fines for harming monk seals can exceed $35,000.
The Department of Natural Resources Enforcement arrested the man. The Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources did not release his name. It only reported that he is a 37-year-old resident of Seattle, Washington.
But residents decided to identify the tourist themselves and expose him for such an act. According to various publications, the man was identified as Igor Litvinchuk, owner of a Washington shipping company.
