In the Lyuban district, hornets occupied an old birdhouse and completely rebuilt it into their nest. The photo of the unusual find was published by the Minsk State Production Forestry Association.
Specialists called this shot reminiscent of thriller decorations. A large family of hornets captured a birdhouse and transformed it into their home. Massive growths of "forest paper" made an ordinary birdhouse resemble an ominous citadel.
According to experts, such transformations in wild nature are completely natural. However, a hornets' nest can be dangerous for humans.
If you notice such a nest in the forest, you should not approach it, even if you want to take a photo. Hornets may perceive a person's approach as a threat. You also shouldn't wave your hands near the nest, as this could provoke an attack. It is strictly forbidden to knock down or touch the nest — this can cause immediate aggression from the entire swarm.
The best solution when encountering a hornets' nest in the forest is to walk around the tree from a distance and not disturb the insects. For a trip to the forest, it is recommended to choose closed clothing of calm colors and not use strong perfume. Children and pets should be kept close during such outings so that they do not accidentally disturb the swarm.
