A new park is planned for creation in Brest in the Dubrouka microdistrict — in the forest massif between Belaruskaya Street, Sosnovy Lane, and Fort VIII, reports BelTA.

Preparatory work will be carried out here this year: utility services will remove invasive plants and dry trees, and clear debris. Concurrently, specialists are developing pre-project documentation.
The place is already popular among local residents: paths are trodden through the forest. In the future, they want to create a large park here with children's play and sports zones, areas for walks, pedestrian connections, and lighting.
Fort VIII is located nearby, and new residential development is planned not far away. Therefore, according to Sergei Labadzinsky, chairman of the Brest City Executive Committee, after tidying up, this should become a pleasant place for recreation.
The project is planned to be implemented in the coming years. The works are being carried out as part of the general beautification of Brest, which runs from September 5 to November 6.
