In Belarus, an ordinary cat defended its owner from a large dog VIDEO
In Belarus, the cat Sonya became a true "bodyguard" to her owner after a large dog attacked the woman during a walk. A video of this unexpected encounter appeared on the social network Threads and quickly attracted the attention of users, noted Tochka.by.

In the first frames, the woman is calmly walking down the street and talking on the phone. However, after a few moments, the situation drastically changes: she runs back, chased by a large dog, which the woman calls an Alabai.
How this chase might have ended is unknown. But a cat unexpectedly intervened in the situation. Sonya, without hesitation, rushed at the dog, which was several times larger than her, and her actions forced it to retreat.

The cat's owner, Aksana, said that she was really scared during the chase. According to her, the dog's behavior did not look like an attempt to simply get acquainted.
In the comments, the woman revealed that the brave cat's name is Sonya and that it is her pet. Aksana also said that she once saved Sonya from starvation on the street.
According to the woman, she is well-acquainted with dog behavior, as she has a Sennenhund, a German Shepherd, and a Miniature Pinscher living at home. Therefore, she immediately understood that the dog posed a threat.
Even more, she was impressed by Sonya's act. Despite the enormous size difference, the cat did not hesitate for a second and rushed to defend her owner.
Sonya's bravery also impressed Threads users. The video garnered over 200 enthusiastic comments. People called her brave and a true heroine, jokingly suggested awarding the cat with medals, and noted that with such a protector, dogs are no longer needed for safety.
