Siarhei Vysotski sentenced to 9 years in the case of the Belarusian Sport Solidarity Foundation
He was detained at the end of last year.

According to information from Viasna, Siarhei Vysotski was detained on December 11, 2025, and accused of creating an extremist formation (or participating in it) and discrediting Belarus. He is involved in the case of the Belarusian Sport Solidarity Foundation.
In September, he was sentenced to 9 years in prison. Vysotski has been recognized as a political prisoner.
In the early 2000s, 55-year-old Siarhei Vysotski was the founder and leader of the "Belarusian Freedom Party" – a small group that advocated radical positions and, apparently, was infiltrated by special services from the very beginning.
The criminal case against the foundation has been under investigation since 2021, recalls Tribuna. In December 2022, the founder of the foundation, Aliaksandra Herasimenia, and executive director Aliaksandr Apieikin were sentenced in absentia to 12 years in a penal colony each in Minsk.
