Unfinished Plant Near Vitebsk Goes Under the Hammer

Near Vitebsk, an object of unfinished construction of a plant for the production of fuel wood pellets has been put up for auction. This construction is still far from being a full-fledged enterprise: on a 13-hectare plot, construction is only at an initial stage. But they want to get almost 10.6 million rubles for the object, writes Office Life.

The owner of the facility is LLC "Akitama". The company was registered in FEZ "Vitebsk" in 2019. It planned to invest 14 million euros in the construction of a plant for the production of fuel pellets.

75% of the company belonged to foreign investors from "unfriendly" states: 50% to the Lithuanian company "Maitreya", and another 25% to the British "Oak Prime Investments S.A.".

At the end of 2024, the Economic Court of Vitebsk Region sent "Akitama" into rehabilitation (sanitation) for a period of three years. At that time, the company's debt exceeded 44 million rubles, with almost half of its assets consisting of accounts receivable.

During an unscheduled inspection conducted in 2024-2025, the company was found to have underpaid taxes, fees, and other mandatory payments totaling more than 21 thousand rubles.

Controllers also revealed instances of the company selling cars to individuals, including its employees, at residual value. Later, some of these cars were resold for dozens of times more.

Now, precisely the project for which the company began its operations has been put up for auction. Construction, however, has progressed insignificantly: on the territory, a site was prepared, a dirt road was laid, water supply and drainage networks were installed, as well as electricity.

The auction is scheduled for September 28. The rehabilitation period for LLC "Akitama" ends on December 12, 2027.
