Another criminal case opened against political prisoner Aliaksandra Kasko
The human rights resource Mayday team learned that political prisoner Dr. Aliaksandra Kasko was transferred to a pre-trial detention center in Baranavichy. The resident of Vawkavysk was detained on February 9, 2023, after arriving in Belarus.

Aliaksandra Kasko was accused under 8 articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus:
- 369 (Insulting a government official);
- 391 (Insulting a judge or people's assessor);
- Parts 1, 2 of Art. 368 (Insulting Lukashenka);
- Parts 1, 2 of Art. 361‑1 (Creating an extremist formation or participating in it);
- Parts 1, 2 of Art. 361‑4 (Facilitating extremist activity);
- Part 2 of Art. 367 (Slander against Lukashenka);
- Part 3 of Art. 203‑2 (Illegal actions regarding information about private life and personal data);
- Part 3 of Art. 130 (Inciting racial, national, religious, or other social hatred or enmity).
On December 19, 2023, Judge Dzmitry Bubenchyk of the Hrodna Regional Court sentenced the young woman to 10 years of imprisonment.
