A 36-year-old man, while intoxicated, asked a 16-year-old schoolboy who did not have a driver's license to get behind the wheel of his car.
The car also contained a 16-year-old college student and two 15-year-old classmates of the unlicensed driver.
On the Klichaw — Smalyarnya — Budneva road, the teenager lost control. The car drove into the left ditch and overturned several times.
As a result of the accident, the 16-year-old passenger died, and one girl was hospitalized.
Immediately after the accident, the 36-year-old man fled the scene, but he was soon apprehended by police, the Investigative Committee reports.
