Mogilev resident left without an apartment and in huge debts after call from fraudsters
A 59-year-old Mogilev resident lost over 180 thousand rubles and was left without her home.

It all started with a call seemingly from a doorbell intercom replacement service. The woman dictated her personal data, after which a fake law enforcement officer called her. He stated that loans were currently being taken out in her name and attempts were being made to seize her home.
To "help the investigation," she did everything at the fraudsters' dictation: she sold her apartment herself and took out three loans from banks.
The money from the sale — which was over 160 thousand rubles — she transported to Minsk and handed over to an unknown person. And she transferred the credit funds via an infokiosk to an account outside the country.
The police add that both real estate agents and bank employees tried to stop her, but the pensioner listened to no one.
