Syrian investor invested in a bankrupt collective farm in Braslaŭshchyna. What's the result?
Three years ago, state media loudly announced a project by Syrian investors in the Braslaŭ district: it was reported that Syrian investors bought the bankrupt state production and property complex "Mezhany" at a competitive auction for almost 702 thousand rubles.

The investors pledged to maintain agricultural specialization for at least five years, invest at least 300 thousand rubles annually, and preserve, as well as expand, the number of jobs.
Prior to that, "Mezhany" specialized in rabbit breeding and milk production, while the Syrians additionally planned to launch sheep farming.
The complex itself consisted of 12 farms and had almost 13 thousand hectares of land at its disposal.

Three years later, the complex under new management not only failed to break even but consistently couldn't settle with suppliers, going into deficit.
As of June 12, 2026, "Exit Prime"'s debt amounts to 737.6 thousand rubles, while all assets are 579.3 thousand rubles. All employees have been dismissed; only the director remains. Suppliers and creditors are trying to recover their money through court.
To be fair, although the project was presented in the state press as "Syrian," in reality, "Exit Prime" has two owners, and only 24% of the shares belong to the sole Syrian among them – Setahi Ghaitham. The rest belongs to Minsk resident Nikolai Sopin.
