In Grodno, a man threw a Yorkshire Terrier protecting its owner from the ninth floor
The incident occurred on the night of October 7 in the residential area Olshanka, reports the Department of Internal Affairs of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee.
The day before, a friend visited the 41-year-old woman, and later the friend's 45-year-old husband joined them. They all drank together, after which the man began to behave aggressively and used physical force against the women. The frightened women from Grodno fled to their neighbors and called the police.
A one-year-old Yorkshire Terrier was left alone in the apartment with the aggressor. During the quarrel, the dog tried to protect its owner. The man picked it up and threw it from the ninth floor. The animal died.
Police officers detained the man and placed him in a temporary detention facility. He will be prosecuted for cruel treatment of an animal.
