Builder Falls from High Scaffolding Near Polotsk

In the Polotsk district, a 59-year-old builder fell from a height of about six meters and was admitted to intensive care. The Investigative Committee is conducting a review of the incident's circumstances.

The incident occurred on October 12, when a construction crew was repairing a roof. One of the workers, climbing to the third level of the scaffolding, stepped on an unsecured wooden decking. The structure could not support his weight, and the man fell to the ground.

The injured person, with injuries of varying severity, was urgently hospitalized in the intensive care unit.

During the inspection, it was revealed that there were no safety ropes for working at height at the construction site.
