Raised $2.9 million for the treatment of Artsiom Korbal from Mazyr
The parents of 11-year-old Artsiom Korbal from Mazyr announced the wonderful news — they managed to raise $2,900,000 for the drug Elevidys, which should enable the boy to cope with a severe illness.

«Today we can say these words, which we have dreamed of for almost 14 months. We still can't believe we've reached this moment.
This final step became possible thanks to the great help that came to our family. We cannot tell who helped raise the remaining amount, but we can say one thing: we are infinitely grateful for this act and will never forget what was done for us,» Artsiom's grateful parents wrote on their Threads page.
Up until the age of four, Artsiom Korbal, now 11, from Mazyr, seemed like a completely healthy child, but then he began to show symptoms of Duchenne muscular dystrophy — a severe hereditary disease in which, due to a genetic malfunction, the body does not produce the protein dystrophin. This protein is necessary for normal muscle function. Without it, muscle fibers gradually break down.
The drug Elevidys can help the boy — it is currently the most expensive medicine in the world. Its cost is $2,900,000, which is exactly what they managed to raise.
