Commercial shared-equity construction will no longer exist in Minsk
New sites for housing in the capital are allocated only to communal enterprises. Commercial developers are completing previously agreed projects.
This news was reported by Irina Hontarava, Chairwoman of the Construction and Investment Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, in a "First Information" segment dedicated to the problems of the "Smart" residential complex.
"The large 'Northern Shore' remains, and these individual objects that are being completed. That's all. Further — only UKB," she said.
According to Hontarava, projects that were agreed upon or for which sites were sold at auctions four to five years ago will be completed in the city.
Only communal enterprises receive new plots. Shared-equity construction — where people pay for future apartments before the house is completed — will, however, remain.
