The pensioner met a 58-year-old local resident at the dog walking area. A quarrel arose between the men because they could not share the territory. The verbal conflict quickly escalated into a fight.
During the altercation, the 58-year-old Brest resident knocked the pensioner to the ground, sat on top of him, and firmly pressed his right-hand finger into the opponent's left eye. As a result, the victim lost sight in that eye. The sustained injury was classified as a less serious bodily harm.
The case was heard by the court. The accused fully admitted his guilt and repented. As a result, the 58-year-old Brest resident was sentenced to one and a half years of restriction of liberty without referral to an open-type institution. In addition, he must pay a fine of 30 base units — 1350 rubles.
