In the Byaroza District, a man gambled away even child-rearing benefits in a casino
The gambler in three months made 2550 bets.
The man did not financially support his family, even though his wife is on maternity leave with a small child. He did not pay utility bills and did not buy groceries, clothes, or other necessary items.
The woman stated that her husband's gambling addiction put the family in a difficult financial situation. The check confirmed that the man regularly visited gambling establishments and lost significant sums there.
The man's mother reported that her son gambled away the benefit for the birth of the first child, the payment for his wife registering for pregnancy care before the 12th week of pregnancy, as well as one monthly child care benefit for a child under three years old. She learned this from her daughter-in-law.
From July to September 2026, the man made 2550 bets.
The prosecutor of the Byaroza District appealed to the court with a demand to ban him from visiting regular and virtual gambling establishments and participating in gambling. The court granted this demand and imposed a ban for a period of three years.
