Zelenskyy: Ukraine is ready to discuss the issue of territories
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is ready to discuss territorial issues during peace talks at the level of heads of state. He said this on October 28 at a joint press conference with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten.

Zelenskyy expects that a trilateral meeting of the negotiating teams of Ukraine, the USA, and Russia will take place between November 6 and 10. Its main task is to prepare negotiations at the leaders' level.
Among other topics planned for discussion are a ceasefire in the energy sector and at sea, prisoner exchange, the release of Ukrainian civilians held in Russia, and the return of deported Ukrainian children.
“Many humanitarian issues, not just territories, which are the most important issue for the Russian and American sides. We are also ready to discuss territories, but at the leaders' level,” Zelenskyy stated.
On October 27, the Financial Times reported that the US would no longer pressure Ukraine to give up part of its territories during negotiations. Previously, Washington linked future security guarantees for Ukraine to territorial concessions.
