More icons seized from Father Genrykh Akalatovich put up for sale

In Belarus, several more seized icons were put up for state auction, where Akalatovich Genadz Uladzislavavich is listed as the debtor. This refers to the property of the Catholic priest Genrykh Akalatovich, whose property the authorities continue to sell off to repay "alleged debts" after his release and forced departure from Belarus, writes "Christian Vision".

Among the new lots is the icon "Great Martyr Paraskeva Pyatnitsa" of the 19th - early 20th century from the Gomel-Chernihiv region. Starting price — 700 BYN. The description specifically states that it is a monument of folk artistic culture and a cultural heritage object.

Also listed is the icon "Theotokos of Three Joys" from the late 19th - early 20th century with a starting price of 500 BYN. It is also attributed to the folk icon-painting tradition of the Gomel-Chernihiv region and has historical significance.

In addition, the icon "Resurrection of Christ from the Tomb" from the second half - late 18th century has been relisted. Previously, its starting price was 4,000 BYN; now the lot is listed for 3,200 BYN. The description states that this is a European variant of the "Resurrection of Christ" theme, probably created for a festive row of an iconostasis, and that the icon has historical and artistic significance.

Previously, Father Akalatovich's car, a plot of land, and old icons had already been seized and put up for sale.
