Two Million Bees Escaped in Texas After Truck Carrying Hives Overturned
Approximately two million bees escaped in the American state of Texas after a truck accident. The incident occurred near the city of Mauriceville in the eastern part of the state, The Guardian reported .

The truck, which was transporting beehives, overturned, releasing a large number of bees. Local emergency services urged residents of the nearby area to stay indoors and avoid the dangerous zone.
Photos from the scene showed beekeepers in protective suits working among huge swarms of bees. Some insects clustered on trees and surrounding objects.

Later, rescue services reported that the situation was quickly brought under control. The beehives began to be transferred to other transport and moved to a local apiary. Local beekeeping specialists joined in eliminating the consequences of the accident.
Despite the stabilization of the situation, residents in the vicinity were advised to remain cautious until the work is fully completed.
