It will be possible to do IVF at the state's expense in only one medical center. And not everyone will get a second free attempt
We tell you what has changed for Belarusian women who plan to use the opportunity to do IVF for free.

From today, decree No. 100 «On the conduct of in vitro fertilization», as well as Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 313, which regulate the issues of conducting free IVF in Belarus, come into force.
Recall: according to decree No. 100, which Lukashenka signed in March, both families (it is mandatory that both husband and wife have Belarusian citizenship) and women who are not married can apply for a free IVF attempt.
At the same time, the woman's age at the first free IVF attempt should not be more than 40 years. If the first attempt resulted in the birth of a child, the woman has the right to a second free attempt at the state's expense. The second attempt can be made up to 49 years of age.
If the first free attempt was unsuccessful, then the procedure cannot be done a second time at the state's expense.
Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 313 reduced the list of organizations where IVF can be done at the state's expense.
Previously, free attempts were carried out at the Gomel Regional Diagnostic Medical Genetic Center with the consultation «Marriage and Family», Minsk City Clinical Maternity Hospital No. 2, and also the Republican Scientific and Practical Center «Mother and Child».
Now, however, you should contact exclusively the RSPMC «Mother and Child» — only there will free in vitro fertilization attempts be performed.
But it should be understood that some things will still have to be paid for — for example, a woman who is not married must independently finance the acquisition of spermatozoa from an anonymous donor.
IVF on a budgetary basis has been performed in Belarus since 2021. According to official statistics, over four years (data announced last October), 6095 cycles of in vitro fertilization were performed, resulting in 2424 pregnancies (in approximately 40% of cases). The state spent about 22 million rubles on this.
