«Keep your Kyiv protégés under control». Belarusian representative to the OSCE delivered a rude speech
The recent ultimatum by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who demanded that Minsk disable its transponders and warned of possible strikes on them by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, put the Belarusian diplomat on high alert, REFORM.news reports .

The reason for Dapkunas's speech was the ultimatum that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky presented to Lukashenka, demanding an end to the operation of transponders used for guiding Russian drones. Yesterday, Zelensky stated that these devices are no longer working.
«A week ago, inspired by provocative relations with the unmandated European 'troika' and the big global 'seven,' the head of Ukraine's de facto leadership issued an ultimatum to Belarus. For the first time in four and a half years since the start of the military operation in Ukraine, a person who came to his position on promises to the people of Ukraine to normalize relations with Russia openly threatens the use of military force against a country that is not a party to the conflict.
In recent days, the whole world has selflessly tried to feel all the charm of the apt description 'Mr. Bean on crack.' The tragedy is that what is funny in this case does not evoke a smile. It is, rather, laughter through tears. In Belarus, if anyone had them, the last illusions dissipated regarding the neighboring state being governed by responsible statesmen who genuinely care about the well-being of their people," he said.
«Today, just like three weeks ago, when Belarus raised the issue in the Permanent Council of the state glorification in Ukraine of nationalists who collaborated with the Nazis and were involved in mass killings, the Belarusian side did not address the Ukrainian delegation.
They will not hear us there. They will not hear us, just as Zelensky did not hear the call of the Polish President to revoke his decision to name one of the military units after the so-called heroes of the UPA.
The PR demarche by a number of representatives of Ukraine's current and former state leadership, who returned Polish state awards in solidarity with Zelensky, is not a testament to Ukraine's sovereign strength. It is a shameful sign of a soulless, corrupt system," he added.
According to him, the Ukrainian leadership does not care that UPA is for many a symbol of «bloodthirstiness, murders, and barbarism».
«Western colleagues are always uncomfortable when Belarus, Russia, and dozens of other states speak about the need to fight neo-Nazism, which is raising its head. Will you continue to insist that our fears are far-fetched? In Kyiv, they talk about a threat from Belarus, but when Belarus called for an assessment of the Ukrainian drone attack on a bus with Belarusian children in the Bryansk region, the Ukrainian authorities found nothing better than to use the last argument of cunning manipulators: 'It wasn't me, and the mare isn't mine' (a colloquial expression meaning denying responsibility), he said.
Dapkunas called on Ukraine's allies to influence the country's leadership, accompanying the call with hints of using military force against them.
«Today we are not addressing the authorities of Ukraine. We are addressing the authorities of dozens of states that do not allow the conflict in Ukraine to subside. We address a serious warning to people who are not under the influence of psychostimulants, to people who have not lost the ability to think, to people who are seriously concerned about the well-being of their peoples. The latest antics of Ukraine's de facto leader are capable of creating the most dangerous precedent. It is precisely according to Zelensky's logic that all types of direct and indirect military support for Ukraine in the conflict with Russia by members of various coalitions — Ramstein and the so-called 'willing' — in case of your indifference and silence, can de facto become a reason for the use of military force against those who provide such support. Do you think about this? Do you want this?" he threatened.
He addressed his question not to the leadership of the European Union, whose position, according to Dapkunas, is clear, but to the EU countries.
«Our question is to the states of Europe that consider themselves sovereign and have not lost the ability to defend their national interest. Whether with your consent or without your coordination, the de facto head of Ukraine makes his provocative statements, we do not know. However, it is important to know that the Ukrainian leadership today creates a threat not only for Belarus. It creates a direct and obvious threat to the security of your countries," he said.
Dapkunas then resorted to dehumanizing the Ukrainian leadership, comparing it to a dog.
«In most states, a person is responsible for harm caused by their animal. If a dog bites a person, not the dog but its owner bears civil, administrative, or even criminal liability. Punishment is inevitable. You have raised, pampered, and by all means supported your protégé. You consciously made your choice in favor of being enchanted by a 'hero' who undoubtedly values his place in history, but easily sacrifices your interest, your concern, your anxiety.
It's easy to be enchanted. The disappointment that comes when it becomes clear that the king is naked can be very painful. Carefully consider the meaning of the proverb that the President of Belarus recently addressed to Zelensky: 'as you sow, so shall you reap.' It is much deeper than it might seem at first glance.
Dear friends of the Ukrainian leadership (but not of Ukraine), for the sake of your own security and well-being, keep your Kyiv protégés under control and, before it's too late, think, dear colleagues, think," Dapkunas concluded.
