Belgium was almost hopelessly losing to Senegal, but ultimately celebrated a victory
The Belgian national team reached the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup, managing to snatch a 3:2 victory in the match against Senegal.

The Senegalese played better in the first half. In the 25th minute, after a cross from Sadio Mané, Ismaila Sarr hit the post, and Habib Diallo was first to the rebound, opening the scoring.
At the beginning of the second half of the match, Senegal extended their lead. Moussa Niakhate gave a long pass to Ismaila Sarr, who went one-on-one with the goalkeeper and accurately struck, making the score 2:0.
It seemed that the Belgians would no longer be able to save the match, but in the final minutes, they managed to turn the tide. In the 86th minute, Romelu Lukaku, after a pass from Thomas Meunier, reduced the deficit. Three minutes later, Youri Tielemans, after a cross from Leandro Trossard, headed the ball into the net and restored parity.
And in the dying seconds of additional time, the same Tielemans earned a penalty, stepped up to the ball himself, and confidently converted the penalty kick, bringing his team a comeback victory.
Now, in the match for a place in the quarterfinals, the Belgian national team will face the winner of the USA — Bosnia and Herzegovina pair.
