In Vitebsk, a new owner is being sought for the well-known abandoned building at Komsomolskaya Street, 28. It is a three-story house, built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The building has the status of a historical and cultural value and is under state protection, writes the publication "Nash Portal".

It is believed that the project of this house was created by the famous Vitebsk architect Tsikhan Kibardzin. Initially, it housed more than a dozen apartments. During World War II, the building was severely damaged, but it was restored in the late 1940s. After the reconstruction, workers of the "Vistan" plant lived there.
Serious problems with the house began about fifteen years ago. Large cracks appeared in the walls, and individual architectural elements and floors began to collapse. In 2012, the house was declared unsafe for living, and all residents were relocated.
Later, the building was planned to be converted into a hotel, but the project was never realized. The current sale is due to financial problems and debts of the owner company.
The initial price of the object is no less than 536 thousand Belarusian rubles. The new owner will receive a building with an area of more than 850 square meters and the right to use a land plot of about 12 ares until the end of 2040.
However, the buyer is obliged to use the building for the development of tourist infrastructure: to create a hotel, motel, or tourist base there. The electronic auction is scheduled for July 7.
