Over the past day, a new increase in обращения was also noted: 43 people sought medical attention, including 15 in the Brest region.
Doctors explain that heat-related injuries include heatstroke, sunstroke, and heat cramps. All these conditions arise due to overheating of the body and loss of fluids and salts.
Experts warn that in hot weather, the body rapidly loses water, blood thickens, which increases the risk of blood clots. This is especially dangerous for people with cardiovascular diseases, as the likelihood of strokes and heart attacks increases.
Doctors recommend drinking plenty of water, wearing light-colored, loose clothing, avoiding direct sunlight, and limiting physical exertion and alcohol consumption during hot weather.
Previously, it was reported that on June 29, a record temperature for the entire history of observations was recorded in Belarus — in Pinsk, the air warmed up to +40.4°C.
