The Visual Capitalist project visualized World Bank data for 2023 and ranked countries with the highest proportion of women in the population, writes Thinktanks.pro.

Hong Kong ranked first in the world, where the proportion of women in the population is 54.9%. Moldova took second place with an indicator of 54%. Macau came in third: 53.9%.

Belarus and all its neighbors, except for Poland, also entered the top 15 countries with the highest proportion of women in the population.
Latvia ranked fourth — the proportion of the female population there was 53.7%.
Russia and Ukraine took 6th and 7th places respectively. In Russia, this indicator was recorded at 53.6%, and in Ukraine: 53.5%.
Belarus, meanwhile, ranked ninth. Here, the proportion of women in the population was 53.4%. Lithuania ranked 11th with an indicator of 52.8%.
