Nine dead, eight injured in passenger bus crash in Ukraine

The accident occurred this morning in Ukraine on the Odesa — Melitopol — Novoazovsk highway, writes BBC — Ukraine.

The driver of a Mercedes Sprinter route minibus, which was traveling from Odesa to Mykolaiv with passengers, lost control and drove off the road.

After that, the bus overturned and rolled into the oncoming lane, where it collided with a Volvo truck.

According to preliminary information, nine people died and eight more were injured in the accident.

Investigators from the department for investigating transport crimes of the regional police investigative department are working at the scene.
