For the first time ever, air temperature in Belarus exceeded +40°C
A new absolute temperature record was registered on June 29 in Pinsk. According to the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, between 14:00 and 14:20, the air warmed up to +40.4°C.

The previous record was set on August 8, 2010, in Gomel, when the temperature reached +38.9°C.
Forecasters report that after the anomalous heat, a change in weather is expected: high temperatures will begin to recede, and thunderstorms will replace them.
