According to his mandatory financial declaration for 2025, US President Donald Trump earned over $1 billion from cryptocurrency operations last year, writes the BBC.

In the 927-page report, he indicated $635 million in royalties from a cryptocurrency created based on a Trump meme (TRUMP memecoin), the value of which sharply declined after its launch a few days before he took office as US President.

He also declared over $500 million in income from World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency company founded by his sons along with the children of special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff.

Trump also received millions of dollars from real estate operations and the sale of merchandise with his symbols. However, the White House denies that he profits due to his presidential position.

The income indicated in the latest financial report significantly exceeds the figures for 2024, when Trump declared over $600 million.

The White House has repeatedly emphasized that Trump transferred his business to a trust managed by his sons and denies any conflict of interest.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly stated that the President has made the United States the "crypto capital of the world".

“Neither the president nor his family has ever had or ever will have a conflict of interest,” her statement reads.

“All actions of President Trump and his administration are taken solely in the best interests of the American people, and all so-called 'journalists' who claim otherwise are repeating the same old false narrative that Democrats and traditional media have been pushing for a decade,” Kelly stated.

Trump himself also emphasized that federal conflict of interest laws do not apply to him.

The published report shows that his cryptocurrency earnings significantly exceed the profits from his real estate business, which originally brought him fame.

He earned approximately $77 million from his Mar-a-Lago club and $122 million from the golf club in Doral, Florida.

Golf clubs in Bedminster, New Jersey, Jupiter, Florida, and Turnberry, Scotland, also brought in over $30 million.

According to the financial declaration, Trump also received millions of dollars from other business projects.

Specifically, he received $4.7 million in royalties from the sale of Trump-branded watches, as well as Bibles, sneakers, perfume, and guitars with the same trademark.

First Lady Melania Trump also declared her income for 2025. She earned $10.7 million under a 'licensing agreement' related to a documentary about her that was released last year.

She also received $6 million from the sale of NFTs (non-fungible tokens) — digital images sold online.

The President also indicated millions in receipts as compensation from various lawsuits.

Among them are $16 million from a lawsuit against ABC, another $16 million from CBS Broadcasting and CBS Interactive, $24.5 million from Meta, $22 million from YouTube, and $8 million from X.

However, the White House stated that most of these funds would be directed towards the creation of Trump's future presidential library or transferred to a non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining park areas in the Washington region.

According to Forbes magazine's ranking of the world's richest people, Trump's wealth is estimated at $6 billion, up from $2.3 billion in 2024. The Bloomberg Billionaires Index estimates his fortune at $7.6 billion.

After returning to the White House, Trump, who once called Bitcoin a scam, began to fulfill his campaign promise to turn the US into a global cryptocurrency superpower.

Last July, the US Congress passed a series of laws that effectively legalized cryptocurrency. The White House called this legislation "a historic act that will allow the United States to lead the global revolution in digital currencies, strengthen national security, and the status of the US dollar as the world's reserve currency".

Paul Atkins, Trump's appointed head of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), is also considered an ally of the crypto industry.

Since taking office in April 2025, Atkins has changed the agency's approach, moving away from the strict regulation through enforcement characteristic of his predecessor.

Ключевая фраза: "Сам Трамп также подчеркнул, что на него не распространяются федеральные законы о конфликте интересов."
То есть конфликт есть, а наказать за него низзя! Посмотрим, что будет, когда Трм покинет Белый дом.
