Trump wished Lukashenka a 'peaceful year'

"I hope to meet you in the future," reads the greeting sent to Alexander Lukashenka.

Alexander Lukashenka received congratulations from various heads of countries on Independence Day. Among them was Donald Trump.

"On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Belarus on the celebration of Republic Day on July 3. This day is dedicated to the liberation of Minsk from Nazi occupation and will forever remain a reminder of the Belarusian people's struggle for freedom. To you and the people of Belarus, I extend my sincere wishes for a peaceful and prosperous year, and I hope to meet you in the future," quotes Trump's greeting, BelTA reports.

Congratulations were also sent by Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and other heads of state.

    Было б цікава паслухаць на гэты конт першага і галоўнага прыхільніка Трампа сярод беларусаў - Св. Зянона Пазьняка.
    Дата абраная Трампам не 25 жніўня і нават не 27 ліпеня, не кажам ужо пра 25 сакавіка, а 3 ліпеня - чыста савецкі позірк на так званую незалежнасць Беларусі. Выпадковасць ? Не, наўмысная акцыя Трампа супраць заслугаў таго ж самаго Пазьняка і яго пакалення перад беларускай дзяржаўнасцю.
    Але штосці пераконвае, што Пазьняк сціпла прамаўчыць пра гэтую акцыю сёлетняй амерыканскай адміністрацыі. Бо ягоная, Пазьняка, любоў да Трампа бязмежная і адназначная. І не Трамп, па Пазьняку, будзе ў гэтым пляўку ЗША на сапраўдныя даты незалежнасці Беларусі вінаваты, а "нехта з ягонага атачэння." Зянон непахісны ў сваіх поглядах на Трампа і верыць, што Трамп - "месія" сучаснага свету, а таму ўсё ён робіць правільна.
    Быў Зянон, да здуўся прама на вачах ...
