17-year-old girl dies in a road accident in Polotsk district

On the evening of July 3, at about 18:50, a fatal road accident occurred on the road "Approach to Polotsk from the P-20 highway", reported the traffic police of Vitebsk region.

According to preliminary information, a 20-year-old driver of a BMW car lost control, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Volkswagen car.

As a result of the accident, a 17-year-old passenger of the BMW sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the car was injured and hospitalized.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
