On November 4, in Bucharest, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan. The talks took place at Cotroceni Palace during the Belarusian democratic leader's visit to Romania.

The parties discussed regional security and support for Ukraine, increasing pressure on Lukashenka's regime, and assistance to Belarusians abroad regarding legalization and education. Separately, the discussion focused on supporting independent media and civil society, prospects for democratic transformations in Belarus, and international cooperation.
During the meeting, the parties paid significant attention to the release of political prisoners and support for people affected by repression. Tsikhanouskaya proposed that Romania join the International Humanitarian Fund for aid to repressed Belarusians and consider appointing a special representative for contacts with Belarusian democratic forces.
Tsikhanouskaya thanked Romania for its support of Belarusians and noted that it is important for democratic forces that Belarus remains in the focus of European partners. According to her, a democratic and independent Belarus corresponds to the security interests of all of Europe, including Romania and the Black Sea region.
