A small hotel is planned to be opened in the Ruzhany Palace complex of the Sapieha family. This was announced by the chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, Pyotr Parkhomchyk, writes BelTA.
The hotel will be located in the East Wing of the palace, which is currently undergoing restoration. According to the developed concept, there will be a small number of rooms, as well as a multi-functional hall for cultural events. When creating the hotel, they plan to use the experience of arranging a hotel in Kosava Palace.
According to Pyotr Parkhomchyk, the work is planned to be completed within two years. In addition, the authorities of the Brest region are currently considering the possibility of restoring the West Wing of Ruzhany Palace as well.
The project is part of the regional tourism development program. According to the regional executive committee, the export of tourist services in the Brest region increased by almost 40% in the first four months of this year.
The authorities note that the most popular tourist attractions in the Brest region remain the memorial complex "Brest Hero-Fortress", the Napoleon Orda Museum in Vorotsevichi, Ivanava district, as well as sanatoriums in the southwestern part of the region.
