Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Minsk for a two-day visit. Immediately upon arrival from the airport, he was taken to Lukashenka's residence in Astashytsky Haradok near Minsk.

Lukashenka's press service reported that today Lukashenka and Mirziyoyev are meeting one-on-one, and afterwards, they will have an informal dinner.

Tomorrow, the official part of the meeting with the participation of delegations is planned.
As officially reported earlier, the main topic of this visit is to be the development of bilateral cooperation and the expansion of interaction between Belarus and Uzbekistan in various spheres.
The parties plan to focus primarily on the development of industrial cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.
Following the talks, about 20 documents are expected to be signed, the main one being the Declaration on the Establishment of a Strategic Partnership between Belarus and Uzbekistan.
