The incident occurred at the "Maladzyozhnaye" rescue station, БелТА writes.
During his shift, Mikalai Shysh noticed sharp splashes in the deep end. Two children — an eight-year-old boy and a ten-year-old girl — had swum too far and began to drown. The girl was still staying afloat, waving her arms and screaming, while her younger brother was already sinking.
The rescuer-sailor instantly plunged into the water, swam to the children, grabbed both of them, and pulled them ashore. Rescuers provided first aid and immediately handed the children over to an ambulance crew.
