The Order of the White Eagle, taken from Zelenskyy, has returned to Poland. What will happen to it now?
Poland's highest state award — the Order of the White Eagle, which Polish President Karol Nawrocki decided to revoke from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has officially returned to Warsaw.

On Monday, June 22, representatives of the chancellery received the shipment. The Ukrainian side sent the order by mail.
As reported Rafał Laskiewicz, spokesman for the head of the Polish state, the order, along with the annulled certificate, will be sent for state preservation to the Bureau of Orders and Nominations.
Laskiewicz emphasized that this specific insignia will never again be awarded to anyone.
Laskiewicz expressed the opinion that this crisis could have been avoided. Kyiv twice tried to establish contact to arrange a phone conversation with the Polish side, but ultimately canceled the call itself: «President Zelenskyy simply did not want to speak with President Karol Nawrocki».
The spokesman expressed the opinion that the revocation of Zelenskyy's highest Polish award will not lead to a further deterioration of relations between the countries.
«President Karol Nawrocki clearly stated in his statement, published by the Presidential Chancellery on Friday, that the revocation of the Order of the White Eagle is not directed against Ukrainians, that the enemy of Ukraine, all of free Europe, and the free world is Russia,» he said.
Nawrocki's decision to revoke Zelenskyy's Order of the White Eagle was Warsaw's reaction to the fact that the Ukrainian president named one of the military units after the «heroes of UPA». The Polish side called this an unacceptable step.
In a show of solidarity, three former presidents of Ukraine — Leonid Kuchma, Viktor Yushchenko, and Petro Poroshenko — refused the highest Polish award.
