Discovery and Eurosport to stop broadcasting in Belarus

"Beltelecom" announced that from July 1, 2026, the broadcast of the thematic Discovery package, as well as Discovery Channel, Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 channels, will be discontinued in ZALA IPTV extended packages. The reason cited is the expiration of the contract with the rights holder.

As a replacement, the operator offers a new VIP HD package, which will cost 4.2 rubles per month instead of 5.5 rubles for the Discovery package.

The new package will include:

Viasat Nature/History HD — for nature and history enthusiasts;
TV1000 Premium, TV1000 Megahit, TV1000 Comedy and ViP Serial — for movie and series viewers;
sports channel Viasat HD — for live broadcasts and sports events.

Thus, after many years of presence in the Belarusian market, Discovery and Eurosport channels will disappear from the network of the country's largest interactive television provider.
