"Belavia" Resumes Flights to Moscow's "Zhukovsky" Airport

Flights had not been operated for six years.

Belavia airline will start operating regular flights to Zhukovsky International Airport from October 30, after a six-year break, the airline's press service told BelTA.

The first flight to Zhukovsky was made 10 years ago, on September 12, 2016. Until spring 2020, flights were operated daily, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the program was suspended.

Aircraft will operate daily flights. Departure from Minsk — at 13:15, arrival in Moscow — at 14:45. The return flight from Moscow — at 15:35, and arrival in Minsk — at 17:05.

Flights will be operated on Embraer-195 aircraft (107 seats). Ticket prices — from 177 rubles one way and from 329 rubles round trip ("Light" fare). Tickets can be purchased on the Belavia website, from agents, and at sales offices.

As Igor Cherginets, General Director of Belavia, said, the possibility of resuming the flight program to Zhukovsky International Airport has been considered for a long time, in order to give passengers more flight options on one of the most popular routes — Minsk — Moscow — Minsk.

"This airport is actively used for travel to cities in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, where Belavia does not yet fly directly. Flights also operate from here to remote regions of Russia: for example, to the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug," he said.
