The head coach of the Belarusian rhythmic gymnastics national team changed for the first time in 30 years
Liubou Charkashyna was appointed as the head coach of the Belarusian national rhythmic gymnastics team. In this position, she replaced Iryna Leparskaya, who had led the Belarusian national team since 1996.

The most significant successes of Belarusian rhythmic gymnastics are associated with the work of Iryna Leparskaya. During her years as a coach, she prepared several generations of high-level athletes who successfully competed in international competitions. Among her most famous pupils are Olympic champion of Seoul-1988 Maryna Lobach, Olympic medalists Inna Zhukova, Yulia Raskina, Liubou Charkashyna, Alina Harnasko, and others.

The new coach, Liubou Charkashyna, is herself one of the most successful Belarusian gymnasts. At the 2012 London Olympics, she won a bronze medal. Additionally, her collection includes many awards from World and European Championships.
