Tokarchuk made an absurd claim against Tsikhanouski. His indignation is understandable
Siarhei Tsikhanouski was subjected to inhumane conditions as a personal enemy of Alyaksandr Lukashenka.

Volha Tokarchuk and Siarhei Tsikhanouski
«I have a question. People are released — not only political prisoners, but also ordinary prisoners. And they ask: why did no cell ever accept you? Maybe you'll tell people about this? Why, during all the time you were imprisoned, did you not once ask any 'prodolny' (warden patrolling the corridor with cells in a pre-trial detention center or prison — Nasha Niva) about the people who came out for you and were imprisoned because of you? There are 'little questions' about the prison for you, Siarozha,» stated blogger and former political prisoner Volha Tokarchuk on Euroradio.
The conflict between Tsikhanouski and Tokarchuk has been ongoing for a long time. But this particular claim against the former political prisoner sounded outrageous — because he is not to blame for the conditions in which he was held behind bars.
In violation not only of legal procedures, but of all criminal concepts, Siarhei Tsikhanouski, as a personal enemy of Alyaksandr Lukashenka, was subjected to inhumane conditions behind bars. The police authorities tried to attach a «low status» to him, which is humiliating in itself. But it also prevents communication with other prisoners. None of the criminals could accept Tsikhanouski into their cells due to this provocation by the prison administration, so as not to end up in «low status» themselves — and thereby voluntarily create inhumane conditions for themselves until the end of their term. As a result of this provocation, Tsikhanouski was forced to spend almost all of his time in solitary confinement. And also in an incommunicado regime — without the possibility of contacting his relatives.
Volha Tokarchuk later apologized for her harsh remark and said that she did not mean it.
