Blogger Volha Takarchuk stated that her criticism was aimed at "stopping him from those fatal mistakes that he eventually made."
"I sincerely apologize to Siarhei Tsikhanouski for my phrase that 'no camera accepted him'. I shouldn't have said that, because only he knows what they did to him in prison, where he shouldn't have been in the first place, just like all other political prisoners, including myself. Everyone has their own threshold of fear, pain, and endurance. As for everything else, I never insulted him or anyone else. Every video I made about Siarhei was only aimed at making him reflect on what he was doing and saying. I never stooped to humiliation. I tried to stop him from those fatal mistakes that he eventually made. It's a pity that Siarhei perceived this as a war," she wrote on her Facebook page.
She says she understands that everyone who has been released from Lukashenka's captivity is deeply traumatized.
"We had to go through something we shouldn't have experienced and shouldn't have endured. But this is the price of fighting for the freedom of Belarus," she added.
Earlier, on the air of "Euroradio," Volha spoke sharply about Siarhei Tsikhanouski.
"I have a question. People are released - not only political prisoners, but also ordinary prisoners. And they ask: why did no camera accept you? Maybe you'll tell people that? Why, during all the time you were imprisoned, did you not ask any longitudinal (the duty officer in the corridor with cells in the pre-trial detention center or prison - NN) about the people who went out for you and were imprisoned because of you. There are questions about the prison for you, Siarozha," the blogger stated on the air of "Euroradio."
