Due to threats made to the creators of the Russian film "Kolobok," a criminal case has been opened.
The case was initiated for publicly expressed threats of murder or grievous bodily harm (Part 2, Article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) — for comments and private messages sent to the creators of "Kolobok." Now, Russian law enforcement agencies will search for the people who wrote these threats, reports the "Ostorozhno, novosti" channel.
Earlier, the film's director, Anton Maslov, stated that over two weeks, he received threats and curses in private messages, and unknown individuals were sending threats to his wife and family.
The "Russia-24" TV channel (one of "Kolobok"'s sponsors) appealed to the Prosecutor's Office and the Investigative Committee of Russia regarding the threats against the "Kolobok" film crew. "The film's creators suddenly found themselves targets of anonymous calls and messages with threats. They and their families were wished death, and their property was promised to be burned," reported VGTRK journalist Eduard Petrov.
