Belarusians gathered in Warsaw under white-red-white flags

In Warsaw, on the anniversary of the 2020 events, Belarusians celebrated Dignity Day.

Former political prisoners, activists, and bloggers joined the event.

White-red-white flags were unfurled in the crowd.

Also present were Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, Pavel Latushka, Yaroslav Chernohor, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and Polish public figure and journalist Adam Michnik.

From the stage, Tsikhanouskaya recalled the true Belarusian miracle six years ago, when neither experts, nor authorities, nor special services could predict that millions of Belarusians would take to the streets.

"The regime racked its brains: who is leading people out? Who organized all this? And the answer was very simple: Belarusians themselves."

"They buried us countless times. They said: just a couple more months — and it's over. They'll quarrel, they'll leave, they'll forget. But it's been six years now — and the Belarusian movement lives. We live! New people come, new ideas appear, political prisoners are released.

So if anyone is losing heart now — remember twenty-twenty. The Belarusian, living, free spirit will sprout anyway, no matter how hard they try to stifle it. We just have to do our part and prepare for a new window of opportunity," Tsikhanouskaya's press service quoted her as saying.
