Ukrainian drones attacked an oil refinery in Russia's Orsk, one and a half thousand kilometers from the border

A fire broke out at the local oil refinery in Orsk, Orenburg Oblast, after a series of explosions. Local residents are publishing videos from the scene showing a plume of smoke over the enterprise, located more than 1500 kilometers from Ukraine.

Regional Governor Yevgeny Sontsev confirmed the introduction of a drone attack alert regime in the region, but has not yet commented on the strike itself on the refinery.

Due to the threat of air attacks, Orsk and Orenburg airports have temporarily suspended receiving and sending aircraft. Explosions continue to resonate in the city.

According to preliminary information from Ukrainian Telegram channels, the hydrocracking complex at the Orsk oil refinery was hit by a drone strike. This is one of the key and most modern modernization facilities of the enterprise, with a capacity of 1.6 million tons per year. The complex is designed for deep processing and production of light oil products. The destruction of this facility could significantly reduce the plant's production capacity.

Also last night, a fire occurred at an oil refinery in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The causes of the fire are unknown. Russian public channels are writing that Ukrainian drones reached Khabarovsk Krai.
