The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian military personnel struck the "Tobolsk-Neftekhim" petrochemical plant in the city of Tobolsk, Tyumen Oblast, Russia.

It is claimed that as a result of the attack, the enterprise's central gas fractionation unit was damaged.
The AFU General Staff notes that this plant produces raw materials that are of significant importance for the Russian military-industrial complex. The enterprise's products are used for the production of components for missile and aviation fuel, composite materials for drones, as well as high-octane gasoline.
Earlier, Governor of Tyumen Oblast Alexander Moor reported that a fire broke out on the territory of one of the region's industrial enterprises after several drones fell. However, he did not name the enterprise.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian sources published footage which, it is claimed, shows the fire in Tobolsk.
This plant is located more than 2000 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
