Exits from Minsk to Brest, Grodno, Molodechno, and Slutsk to be made cement-concrete

By 2030, sections with cement-concrete pavement are planned to be constructed on the main highways exiting Minsk in the direction of Brest, Grodno, Molodechno, and Slutsk. This is stipulated by the state program "Roads of Belarus" for 2026–2030.

Concrete pavement will appear on four important routes: R-1 "Minsk — Dzyarzhynsk", M-6 "Minsk — Grodno", R-28 "Minsk — Maladzyechna — Narach", and R-23 "Minsk — Mikashevichy".

On the R-1 highway, which connects Minsk with Fanipal and Dzyarzhynsk, it is planned to widen the road to four to six lanes.

On the Grodno direction, the section from Minsk to the second ring road will be reconstructed and widened to three lanes in each direction.

On the Maladzyechna highway, reconstruction is already underway on a 5.3-kilometer section near the "Stalin Line" memorial complex. Instead of the current two lanes, there will be four. The road will be made with concrete pavement, barrier fencing will be installed, and a parking lot for 300 cars will be built. Work is planned to be completed in November 2027.

The highway in the direction of Mogilev already has the necessary pavement. On the Vitebsk direction, there are no plans to change the pavement, but road reconstruction will continue. The Gomel highway is also still relatively new and capable of withstanding significant loads.

As Minister of Transport Aliaksei Liakhnovich noted, cement-concrete roads have several advantages. They allow not to introduce spring restrictions for the movement of heavy trucks and buses, withstand greater axle load, and last longer.

The volumes of construction of such roads are planned to be significantly increased. In 2021–2025, about 60 kilometers of roads using concrete were built in Belarus. For the next five years, about 175 kilometers are already planned.

In total, the state program "Roads of Belarus" for 2026–2030 provides for the repair and reconstruction of at least 25 thousand kilometers of roads. Approximately 19 billion Belarusian rubles are planned to be allocated for these purposes.

Испортили трассу на Могилев - будем портить всё! Надо ж куда-то столько неликвидного цемента использовать (строительство "засыхает")...
