The Belarusian woman shared on Threads how her love story with a Russian guy turned into a horror movie.
A few months ago, Maria ended her relationship with her boyfriend. However, he didn't return the keys to her apartment. The young woman made a fatal mistake — she didn't change the locks.
She relied on the honesty of her ex-boyfriend. She was sure that an adult would never enter someone else's apartment uninvited. And she was wrong.
«While I was calmly working the night shift, he came into the apartment and destroyed MY ENTIRE wardrobe: clothes, underwear, socks, shoes, outerwear. What he couldn't destroy, he carefully doused with iodine».
Wanting revenge, the ex-boyfriend poured out shampoo and hair conditioner, as well as such feminine joys as perfume and various facial tonics. He didn't even spare the eye drops that Maria had recently brought from Belarus, expecting them to last a year.
Household chemicals also perished in this unequal battle — the man poured everything out.
The Belarusian woman says it wouldn't be so upsetting if her ex-boyfriend had destroyed something he had once bought or given her — but no.
Maria has a daughter — luckily, the children's belongings remained undamaged.
The woman appealed for help, saying that all she had left intact was what she was wearing. And she added that she decided to make the situation public so that the person would understand: she will not stay silent.
In less than a day, the post garnered about 100,000 views and hundreds of comments offering help. Some were ready to share their clothes, others reported that they would soon be traveling to Turkey for shopping and could bring some household chemicals. They also offered to take Maria away for a few days of vacation to help her recover from such a situation.
People from various countries were willing to support her with money. Shops appeared in the comments, offering Maria to visit them and choose something from their assortment for free.
And the Belarusian woman finally called a locksmith to change the locks.
