In the Czech Republic, a hedgehog kept people awake at night, intrigued by a beer can
Residents of one of the streets in the Czech city of Raspenava witnessed an unusual incident overnight from Monday to Tuesday. Under the windows of their homes, a hedgehog found an empty beer can and played loudly with it for almost an hour.
At first, people couldn't understand where the loud banging was coming from in the middle of the night. Some even thought it was drunk passers-by making noise. However, one of the residents looked closer and saw that a small hedgehog was creating the noise.
The hedgehog played with the can as if it were a ball: pushing it in front of itself, and sometimes tossing it into the air with its nose. On the road, this created quite a loud noise, which resonated particularly well in the night silence.
Residents of several apartments woke up from the clatter. Some even closed their windows to avoid hearing the noise. The woman who saw the true culprit of the nocturnal "concert" couldn't help but laugh.
However, they didn't have to be angry with the hedgehog for long. Around three in the morning, the can rolled under a car, after which the unusual noise finally stopped.
