A company commander drove a pickup truck himself under fire to rescue seriously wounded soldiers. He became a Hero of Ukraine
On one of the front sectors in the Kharkiv region, a Russian drone hit a ground robotic platform that was evacuating two seriously wounded Ukrainian servicemen of the "Code 9.2" regiment. It seemed that nothing could help them, but something unexpected happened .

As reported by the Joint Forces Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two Ukrainian assault soldiers successfully completed a combat mission and captured enemy positions. However, during their return, they were attacked by Russian "Malanka" drones. Both servicemen sustained serious injuries and could no longer move independently.
A ground robotic platform was sent to evacuate them, but a Russian drone attacked and hit it.
While the command and observation post was searching for a way to evacuate the wounded from under targeted fire, aerial reconnaissance noticed a civilian pickup truck on the road, heading at high speed directly into the dangerous zone.
Behind the wheel was assault company commander Vladyslav Polskyi. He himself went to rescue his soldiers and didn't even have time to put on his bulletproof vest. The commander managed to evacuate the wounded, thereby saving their lives.
For this act, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded Vladyslav Polskyi the title of "Hero of Ukraine."
"An excellent story. Great courage. And an example of a commander's deed that is worthy of emulation. We must take care of people. Thank you, Vladyslav!" — Zelenskyy said.
