A jar of "space tomatoes" was also ceremoniously sealed there.
Today, the "Ivye Tomato" festival is taking place in the district center of the Grodno region. Its central part was a ceremonial procession through the city streets.

On the embankment of the city pond, all guests were greeted by a tomato kingdom. The hosts of the festival, Señor Tomato and his companion Tomatka, sailed there under a crimson sail.

A tradition of the festival is the ceremonial sealing of jars with Ivye tomatoes. One of them was sealed by officials, and another by representatives of the local clergy.
And the "Space Harvest" jar was made from tomatoes whose seeds flew into space last year. It was entrusted to be sealed by local schoolchildren and guests from Russia: Deputy Editor-in-Chief of "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" Yadviha Yuferava and Colonel of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation Viktor Shutov.

A 9-meter festive sandwich was a surprise for all visitors.
